Pick: Unicaja ML Result: 87-83 Stake: 3/10 Odds: 1.70 Bookmaker: ExpektvCash: No Posted: Apr 29, 2008, 23:30
Very important match for Unicaja and not so much for Cajasol considering the Malaga team needs one more win to secure the play-off while their opponent with the win on Saturday against TAU practically secured their status in the elite competition.
In my opinion Caja dont deserve to be fighting relegation battles...still with their preservance they managed to reach their goal...their TAU game was excellent...not only did they win at the end but they were the ones controling the match the whole time...
I wrote many times about Unicaja...I dont have much to add except to say I expect a quality performance on their part and in addition to say they have a full roster avaliable.
The reason I`m taking Unicaja is a fact that they need a victory in order to reach the play-offs...just so they wouldnt have to deal with this problem in the last round...I have to say they`ve put in a great performance and a great effort against Joventut on day 32 in one of the derbies of the league...this win deffinitely boosted their morale so I reckon they are ready for todays match...As Unicaja is concerned I see advantage on their side in the paint because there they have more options then their rival...speaking of wednesday/saturday matches I give edge to Unicaja...they have longer bench and more quality players to choose...I`m not saying this is going to be an easy match, on the contrary, but I see quality and motive on Unicajas side so I`ll pay them my trust with standard stakes
Theres no dilemma in this match for me...the winner is already known...the only question is the winning margin...Vizura is certainly one of the worst teams in NSL...a team below every average for this level of competition...I`ve seen them a couple of times and I just dont see them coping with FMP today...FMP is bound to be absolutely dominant in the paint and fast tempo and rebounds are the main reason I`m taking FMP today...if they continue the way they played recently covering the spread should be certain...I see a 20+ winning margin if panthers dont take the foot off the pedal which I dont think will happen...standard stakes recommended
Pick: Pandzic, Jelena ML Result: 0-6;2-6 Stake: 1/10 Odds: 3.10 Bookmaker: ExpektvCash: No Posted: Apr 29, 2008, 12:32
Pandzic have a successful previous three qualification round without losing a set, she will reach a new career high ranking next week( of around 195 position) and today she plays her first match in one WTA tournament without Czink who also beat in three qualification round but yesterday she have a doubtful three sets match with Hradecka. Czink have a 4-2 on clay surface this seasone, she was a good experience participation in a big tournament but with inconstantly results and form. Pandzic have a some good result in several challenger tournaments in USA, two1/4 final and she beat Camerin (110 WTA) in Monzon challenger and today she have a big motivation to win in her first match on wta main draw
Tradition is also on Pandzic side because she beat two times Czink before 8 years, in two juniors tournaments, one on clay surface

Cajasol seemingly upped their form at the right time thus securing their status...eventhough there are more then few calculations at the moment...I see them at the right track...in some of the few previous analysis concerning this team I said they deserve a much better position in my eyes , at least they shouldnt dread relegation. Right now they occupy 10th spot which they share with 5 other teams who have 12-19 score...They are a rather experienced team which drafted 4-5 players that played in big teams in previous seasons
I already said that TAU is expecting F4 next week, which means that Spahija will have to check his entire roster...to try out some different tactical ideas...he needs to give a chance to some of his fringe players to assess entirely which players he can rely on or not prior to the big match against CSKA...in addition Cajasol is one of the biggest over teams in the league.
Cajasol is among the teams with offensive mentality...they dont hesitate much in taking 3pts shots, they often lose ball under pressure something I noticed, their defence is not really top notch...I believe Rakocevic and co. will know how to punish their defensive mistakes...TAU is also a offensive team...they crush their opponents with their fast tempo and explosive turnovers...few days ago they scored 90+ pts against defensive Pamesa...I dont see a reason they shouldnt do the same tomorrow...its obvious the faster style of play suits them...in my eyes there are lot of indicators towards a high scoring match where I believe TAU will exploit Cajasol`s flaws and reach 90+ pt margin while Cajasol on the other should be able to reach 70+pt mark on merit...standard stakes here

Kolosos is occupying 11th position they share with PAOK and Almeco and it will be very interesting to see how it will unravel today...what I noticed up until now is that Kolosos is an over team averaging cca 160pts...they are a true EX-Yu colony with players like Savo Djikanovic (CG), Miroslav Todic (BiH), Josipovic Ivo (CRO), Vuksanovic Vladimir (SRB),all of them sharing minutes on the court..
AEK is chasing the best possible position before the play-offs, atm they are 7the and if some results go their way they could even go further up the table...and all of this is very important before the elimination rounds...They also have some ex-yu players most notable of which is Sasa Vasiljevic ex -Hemofarm...a playmaker and quite reliable player...then theres ex-international Papanikolau and with Nikos Barlos ex -Oly they have a respectable team.
So...the last round will decide a lot today...13-14 placed teams will engage in play-out and will decide who gets relegated...14th spot is reserved for Olympiada and 3 teams will fight for the 13th spot...Kolossos will try to impose their style of play today which is a fast tempo and I suppose they can force AEK to play the same way eventhough AEK is not an overish team...if the match was being played in Solun rather then Rodos I would reconsider this bet but now I have no doubts and will take this bet medium stakes.

Karlovic reached the second round here in Monte Carlo with win against Grosjean in a one poor game after Grosjean retired in third set, Ivo have a problem with his first service, he saved 6 of 7 break points with 5 double faults, he lose first set and he saved several break points in the middle of second sets. Before this tournament he retired in a tournament in Estoril against homeground claycourters Machado (332 ATP rank) after he lose first sets 4-6 and 0-1 in second. On the other side Monfils have a best performance on his win against Verdasko (7-5;6-4) after his comeback in this year, his serving was very well with a good rhythm, good movement, he give only one situation for break on his service and this win it’s very important for him because this is a Monfils first win in Monte Carlo especially for his mentality because he was injured here last year . He was arrived here in Monte Carlo early because he was preparation for the quali.
They were play last year in american hard court in Sunrise and Monfils win after Karlovic retires in the second
